Chameleon is situated in the malaria-free central region of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, 40 km north of Sefako Makgatho ( Zambesi ) intersection, on the N 1 North on the Hammanskraal / Boekenhoutskloof off ramp. The 18 500 ha Dinokeng Game Reserve, a public private partnership with Gauteng Provincial Government, was officially opened on 22 September 2011 with the free roaming Big 5 in over 100 years in Gauteng Province. From your bed or patio spot the abundant birdlife in the indigenous garden. Chameleon Bush Lodge is also the home of a colony of springhare, who are very active in the early evenings. The development consists of two units in the water tower and three free standing units sleeping two per unit.. Completely self catering, the kitchen fully equipped and also a built-in braai under cover. You will require nothing but your food and beverage throughout your stay. Luxury bathrooms with bath, shower, basin and toilet; units 3, 4 and 5 boast outdoor showers. Lapa hosts 10 people – available if the total lodge is booked. Daily cleaning will ensure that your stay is hassle free and relaxing. King Fisher a la carte restaurant at Mongena, 500 metres from Chameleon, and sit down or takeaway meals from Ngata Restaurant. Halfway There Diner at Posh Functions or Lazy River for pub lunches etc within easy range. Situated in the central region of the Dinokeng Game Reserve in Gauteng, Chameleon Bush Lodge is a 4* graded self-catering lodge. The lodge consists of five air-conditioned separate twin-bedded chalets, all with fully equipped kitchens, private entrances, en-suite bathrooms, seating areas with DStv, breakfast nooks, patios with braai facilities and three of the units have outdoor showers. This Water Tower section also offers guests a splash pool and large lapa area with seating around a central fire ring, as well as parking on the premises.The 2 Family Units each has 2 en suite bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen/dining room, patio with built-in braai plus fire pit in the garden.
