Hotel Description
Shondoro Mountain Retreat is a 185 ha bushveld farm that lies in the malaria free Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province. The name 'Shondoro' is an Owambo (indigenous Namibian language) word meaning "the wild one".The name was chosen from one of the Afrikaans author, Doc Immelman's short stories which tells the tale of an orphaned kudu who is reared by an Afrikaans family on a Namibian farm. The significance of the story is very special to the owners as Doc Immelman is the late father and grandfather of the family who owns Shondoro.
